Default coworker backed into my car.

So i had just clocked in for work, and my co workers punched out. Two minutes later my buddy tony yelled for me. "Steve, you better go outside right now, you got a big problem". I went outside, and my co worker who just clocked out had backed up into my car. He drives a 90 camry and had no damage at all. He pleaded for me to not file a report because he has no insurance (he's mexican by the way). So we compromised and he's paying for the expenses. pictures will be up shortly.

Wow, good luck with that. Without a police report he can totally deny it and like shane said you're pretty much fucked.

Now that pix are up, at least you won't be fucked too hard... looks like it's just a new bumper cover and a spray. not too much to be out of pocket.

but be prepared for a really awkward work environment going forward.

did you get a signed document of him acknowledging guilt?

I had the same thing happen and when I tried to file an insurance claim later on they said it was not possible without a police report from THAT DAY. They said they would not accept a police report filed at a later date, even if the police consider it completely valid. This policy may vary by insurance company though.

Sure, you can write up a document for anything, and have someone sign it. what do you think a purchase agreement is?

the validity of it in court may be questionable, but at least you have a leg to stand on, instead of he-said-she-said bull shit.

    also, fuck limp bizkit.

Do you have insurance?? Do you pay for your insurance?? Then why would you let this F*#&ing moron drive his car without it???????

The first thing I would have done when he told me that he has no insurance is CALL THE COPS. You do know that in MN its the law that you have to have insurance, don't you?

Well, there is always the opportunity of a false report at some random parking lot without camera. But then you might really fuck yourself more then you already did.

Wrong answer. I'd still call the cops if this was my best friend. And don't tell me this is the same guy that started your car lololol....

quit letting these worthless fuckers get away without insurance.

no wonder our premiums are so high.

i almost had a friend die from some worthless fuck without insurance,

backed out into the road, infront of a friend on motorcycle.

illegal immigrant with no insurance <-- was the guy that backed out

and all he got was a slap on the wrist and a failure to yield ticket.

If in the area, DCTC Auto Body students always need work, and that would be a cake job. figure $150 paint and materials, we cover the labor as a teaching aid, and you get a quality job for alot less than a body shop!
